Kids aren't really intellectual because they're kids, but at least a kid would appreciate it because it's a toy, and perhaps it would draw their attention. I for once would love to buy it as gift to my kid cousins.

amna: well , a kid could also be introduced to the world of architecture by every thing not architecture i'd say!
...the dolls are funny, loved them :)
haitham: again , why would "a kid" want to build the fallingwater?
& yes i do understand the other side of your point, yet as an architect or a collector i'd go either for something more authentic...or..more abstract..
P.S : blessed re-birth !

Mais: Lego is a free palette but a kid won't be able to build a fallingwater without an instructed palette. I believe this collection is smart because it's aimed at architects and collectors, and kids. That's us coming out of the closet, and by closet I mean hiatus.

Amna: Definitely! Stick the name Zaha on any product and it will hit. BTW is it just me or are those dolls horrible?

Well, isn’t Lego is built on offering “primitive, neutral blocks” triggering the making of endless “creations” …. It did look silly to me and I might say that I’m not at all into the availability of an “instructed Lego palette” of Le Corbusier’s or Wright’s architecture as much as I might be with the option it is giving in exploring other architectural creations generated from the re-assembly of the same palette… couldn’t that be an interesting short term experiment, the least would be the new textured , block-based reading…imagine for a second Le Savoye in brick & falling water in concrete….why don’t they start investigating in new block with lateral joints instead of the typical up-down… well, never mind..
What’s with the new active mailing lists these days btw?
