Abdoun Bridge is the first cable-suspended bridge in the Jordanian capital Amman. It was commissioned in December 2002 and completed and opened on December 14th, 2006, according to Ahmed on 360east.

The bridge is a vital addition to the city linking the prestigious Abdoun Area to the 4th circle and Jebel Amman, and it cost 10.7 million Jordanian Dinars, that is 15.2 Million US Dollars. The design consists of 45-meters-high “Y” shaped columns, the suspend the wide spans through cables, measuring a total length of 425 meters.
The bridge created a lot of buzz in the city, it got featured on a lot of blogs, and even on one of Hajjaj’s cartoons, the famous Jordanian Caricaturist.
