Pictured above is - in my personal definitions - one of the most beautiful translations of Beauty in Engineering, which is the gist of Architecture, designed by Santiago Calatrava in Seville, Spain. The beauty in this bridge is the strength of its unique diagrammatic innovation, blended with the simplicity of its genuine scheme, hence I consider this as an exercise in innovative thinking that I humbly urge my students to observe and study.
Wired posted another 12 beautiful bridges, in different ways. And so I decided I will make a list of 10 beautiful bridges in the Arab World, or the middle east for that matter. If you have a design in mind that you think might get on that list please send your contributions to CONTRIBUTIONS[AT]ENKLOSURE[DOT]COM.
