It’s well known by now that Zaha Hadid is building a bridge in the UAE, specifically connecting the island of the capital, Abu Dhabi, to the mainland and to the northern emirates. Visible to a passing by driver going to Abu Dhabi crossing Al-Maqtaa Bridge, which is the first bridge built in the sixties to connect the capital with other emirates. I’ve never seen the official announcent pictures of the structure! International Design Forum blog published an informing description of the project along with recent renders, and here are a few more shots.
